CHAPTER 1
"Hey wait up!" yelled Sarah as she raced passed the huge crowd of students. Sarah is a twelve-year-old who enjoys diving, drone photography and watching sports. She is warm and caring, but can also be very cynical and bit disorderly. She is very tiny for her age with olive skin, golden hair, and blue eyes. She ran towards her group of comrades which included Kassandra Rosa (Kassie), Chloe K, and Mellisa Catherine. Chloe K is a twelve-year-old girl who enjoys bargain hunting, listening to music, and podcasting. She is kind and creative, but can also be very lethargic and a bit grouchy. She has golden brown locks and jet black eyes. Kassie is a thirteen-year-old teenager who enjoys jigs`aw puzzles, tennis, and playing video games. She is judicious and accurate, but can also be very rude and a bit impatient. Kassie has black hair and green eyes, making her look a little like a cat! Mellisa is a twelve-year-old girl who enjoys yoga, baking, and helping out in campaigns. She is kind and careful, but can also be very cowardly and a bit untidy. She is tall for her age with pale skin, red hair, and brown eyes."Hurry up Sarah, the trains about to leave!".Sarah and the others jumped into their seats."I can't believe that a new term has already began" exclaimed Kassie. The girls had just come back from their winter break and were headed to their school,' Sunbridge High'. As they were talking Mellisa heard a whisper echo through the compartment, "FIND THE KEYS..........FIND THE ONE... MERTICAL.....", "did you guys hear that?!" she asked bewildered."Hear what replied Sarah, messily munching on a sandwich. "nothing......' mumbled Mellisa as the train pulled away from the station.
CHAPTER 2
They settled in their seats as Mrs.Walts embraced the new students.
Mellisa nudged Chloe and whispered something in her ear. Mrs.Walts saw this and scolded them, "Mellisa! Chloe! stop whispering! since it's the first day I will not give you detention but you have to help the librarian to arrange the books today!".Both of them grumbled and stayed quiet for the rest of the day till lunch. As the group settled down for lunch Kassie tried to cheer up her friends and told them that she and Sarah would get library passes and help them both. This brightened the gang and they all headed to the library as Kassie and Sarah got their passes.
CHAPTER 3
Once they reached the ebony-colored door the librarian rushed out, She was an old lady with white air and old eyes. She was a kind woman and truly cherished the gang as they always helped her. She was carrying a large book in her hands and bumped into Mellisa as she was going out! "OH NO! Mellisa! I am sorry! I need to go somewhere urgently". "It's alright Mrs. Regina, We are here to help you arrange the books," replied Kassie."Right, the books! Girls, I have to go somewhere urgently now but, you can go to the library and arrange the books. It would be a great help." "of course, miss", they all replied in unison.
As they were entering the fiction isle Mellisa pulled the group aside and told them," Guys! remember when I told I heard something on the train, well, the book Mrs.Regina was carrying a book with the same title as the word ' MERTICAL' ". Sarah sighed and said, "Mellisa you're going nuts! did you eat too much sugar yesterday?!
" NO! I KNOW WHAT I AM SAYING AND I KNOW THAT I HEARD SOMETHING AND THE BOOK'S TITLE WAS MERTICAL!" ,Mellisa yelled, as she said the word MERTICAL there was a sudden swoosh behind the group. As they turned around they saw a little door appear on one of the walls. Everyone gasped
" What's that?" asked Kassie
" I am not sure", replied Chloe.
As the group approached the door, the same whisper was heard, but to everyone, this time, " FIND THE KEYS... FIND THE ONE... MERTICAL".
"Told ya!" said Mellisa as the rest of the group gasped
" Ok!Ok! sorry, but what is that anyway?! I m not sure we should go"
Before the group could reply a sudden force pushed them in and shut the door.
CHAPTER 4
The girls found themselves in a dark cave!
As Mellisa and Sarah tried to open the door, Chloe and Kassie looked around to find a way out.
"Look guys! I found a passage out! " exclaimed Chloe.
the girls rushed towards a dim light at the end of a long and narrow path.
As they headed closer darkness covered them and they all fainted!
CHAPTER 5
Mellisa grumbled as she got up and shielded her eyes from the twinkling light above them. As they all stirred awake, they noticed they were in a forest?! Sarah laughed and said," Guys we are dreaming or rather I am! maybe I fell asleep in the library and any second now you will nudge me conscious! I know it! ". Sarah closed her eyes and pinched herself but, she was still in the evergreen forest. She laughed apprehensively and assumed she was in deep sleep.
The girls headed down the forest until they reached some sort of clearing where they spotted a creek. They headed towards it to wash their mud-stained hands and torn clothes (that had turned into this condition when they were lying on the forest bed)right then a booming bang was heard throughout the forest and a deep voice rang out from the sky, " WELCOME FELLOW TRAVELERS! OUR KINGDOM IS IN GREAT DANGER AND ONLY YOU CAN SAVE IT! LADY FROSTBITE HAS RETURNED AGAIN AND ONLY THE CHOSEN ONE CAN DEFEAT HER! FIND THE CHOSEN ONE AND YOU WILL BE PERMITTED TO LEAVE! YOU WILL FIND YOUR SUPPLIES IN THE CREEK! YOU ARE OUR LAST HOPE! PLEASE SAVE OUR KINGDOM! "
Kassie thrust her hands inside the creek and sure enough, she found a backpack containing some clothes, a compass, some fruit, and a small flask containing a peculiar purplish fluid. she handed out the vests and army like clothes that had been provided and they all feasted on the bright red apples that had been provided and decided to talk.
" Ok so we are stuck in a forest and we can return only by saving this kingdom from a lady named frostbite. this will be so awesome for my blog! " summarised Chloe
" Guys this is the wackiest dream I have ever had but I suggest we just go with it!" exclaimed Sarah
" Ok! Ok! let's just first find a way out of this jungle and find who is lady frostbite save this place!" said Mellisa
" GUYS! I see smoke in the distance! why don't we just ask someone there !" shrieked Kassie
they all turned their heads to see a line of grey smoke floating in the air.................
